We are extremely proud of the fact that we are a female-owned and female-operated business. Everyone who works with us shares a love of fishing that bonds us together and has brought us so many great memories. The desire to share those experiences with others is what led us to start a guide service, and we feel so blessed to be able to spend our days doing what we love and sharing what we're passionate about with others.
We want our business to be inclusive, and we welcome all types of clients. It doesn't matter whether you’re a man, woman, or child. It doesn't matter whether this is your first fishing trip or your fifty-first fishing trip. We want to make sure that every single person who books with us feels confident and comfortable. We'll bring the supplies you need and help make sure your day is a success. More importantly, we'll make sure you have a blast!

We are so happy to introduce you to the Outcast Fishing team. We share a love of the outdoors and fishing, and we’re passionate about sharing it with you. Our guides are certified in CPR and First Aid and are familiar with safety protocols while boating, because our clients' safety is of the utmost importance.

While I’ve enjoyed targeting a lot of different species of fish in many different states, there is nothing like fishing for smallmouth on the New River in West Virginia. This region and its waters hold a special place in my heart, and I look forward to sharing it with my clients. I look forward to sharing some of my tried and true methods to help ensure your success on the water.

Based out of the town of Hinton in Summers County, West Virginia, we are located at the southern entrance to the New River Gorge National Park. Nestled in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains, a subsection of the Appalachian Mountains, the area boasts beautiful, rustic scenery and incredible landmarks, like Sandstone Falls and the Bluestone Dam. This picturesque town is even more unique because it is located at the confluence of three majestic rivers: the New, Bluestone, and Greenbrier. It is here that the Greenbrier and Bluestone Rivers flow into the New River, the second oldest river in the world.
The New River, which flows north instead of south, is a popular local fishery that is home to many species of fish, including smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, spotted bass, striped bass, hybrid striped bass, rock bass, walleye, muskellunge, catfish, carp, crappie, and bluegill. However, smallmouth bass are one of the most prevalent species. This hard fighting, aggressive fish is one of the most popular game fish for anglers in West Virginia. The New River provides the perfect habitat for these smallmouth bass to flourish, which means plenty of opportunities for a trophy catch.
This area is steeped in natural beauty and offers the perfect setting for a day on the water.
